    Following the revelation in 2023 that the primary cause of the damage to concrete blocks was elevated levels of sulphate and that Mica only played a supporting if any role it was decided to carry out further testing of the concrete blocks to obtain levels of sulphate and a second report which included a chemical test (for sulphate levels) found that the sulphate levels were considered safe (Total Sulphur 0.09%) and the laboratory classified the concrete as Negligible Risk from a reactive sulphides perspective.”
